Happy Fall!!
Tagged by @howtotrainyouragents Thank you! This got me so excited for Autumn. Sorry about the delay in responding. Just started my masters, and haven’t had the time till now.
Rules: bold what you prefer and tag 10 people
1. go apple picking vs go on a hay ride – I’m not sure if hay rides are really a thing in Ireland, but we use to have an apple tree in my back garden and I have nice memories of picking them with my siblings around this time of year.
2. scary vs. sweet – I have a major sweet tooth, and I’m not that easily scared so I tend to get a bit disappointed with horror movies. That being said, I do love spooky kids movies like ParaNorman or Monster House.
3. sweaters vs. boots – I love boots, and I’m always excited around now when I can wear them again without my feet getting overheated.
4. socks vs. mittens – Specifically slipper socks, I have this knee high rainbow coloured pair that are so cosy.
5. bonfires vs. football – bonfires always look really cool, and get you in the Halloween mood. Also, I’m kinda assuming football hear means American Football which, while I’ve seen a few games, mainly Super Bowls, isn’t really a thing I associate with Fall being Irish.
6. trick-or-treating vs. watch scary movies– As I mentioned above, I’m often a bit bored with horror movies. Not to say there aren’t some really great ones, like Get Out which I loved, not to mention the funny over the top ones like Evil Dead. Also, I really love (now being too old to trick-or-treat myself) giving out candy and seeing all the cute kids dressed up.
7. apple pie vs. pumpkin pie – I’m all for sugary, baked apples. Especially with vanilla Ice-cream or whipped cream.
8. halloween and thanksgiving – So again the Irish thing, we don’t have thanksgiving so outside of tv shows, I have no real reference for it, though it does seem like a nice time. Halloween on the other hand, I love. I’m really into the whole fantasy, folklore side of it. And I always bake something, and just hangout watching movies like Labyrinth and Coraline around this time of year, reveling in the spookiness of it all.
9. bake pie vs. bake cookies– Cookies are the best, especially straight out of the oven, with melting chocolate chips. And now I’m hungry.
10. rain vs. fog- I love the sound of rain outside thundering against the window, while I cuddle inside with hot chocolate, my dog, and a good book. Plus the smell afterwards when you go for a walk.
11. black cats and owls – So I do love both, and I feel bad choosing owls because of the bad rap black cats get, but Harry Potter has forever created a love of owls within me. Looking around my room right now, I can count 6 owl related objects, including two stuffed toys.
12. ghosts vs. wizards – I always get a bit sad with ghosts, especially things like Casper because they’ve died and become trapped. Wizards get to be fun, go on adventures, and live in magically moving castles.
13. harry potter vs. halloweentown – This was hard, as I always had this major desire to be Marnie growing, but Harry Potter was one of the first books that really got me into reading, and the world of Hogwarts is just amazing.
14. go hiking vs. sleep in – Hiking can be fun and all, but I’m pretty much always going to choose sleep.
15. cinnamon vs. nutmeg
16. reading vs. writing- I’m hoping to be a published writer one day, so… Plus, its one of those activities that just gets me excited no matter what else is going on.
17. hot chocolate vs. tea – So I don’t drink tea, and I’m a chocoholic, so hot chocolate for the win.
18. live in a cabin in a forest vs. have it be fall 24/7– I like the seasons, and I actually have gone on a tonne of holidays to this cabin in Vermont, so with access to a car, a nice cabin in the forest could be pretty nice.
19. candy apples vs. caramel apples vs just a regular apple ok? – I’m all for caramel anything.
20. blankets vs. pillows – You can wrap yourself up in a blanket, and make a blanket fort and just get so cosy.
21. roasted marshmallows vs. roasted chestnuts – That crispy, gooiness is just too good.
22. coffee vs. apple cider – I don’t drink coffee and I don’t drink alcohol (taste thing, rather than a moral thing) so I wouldn’t really go for either.
23. red leaves vs. orange leaves – They’re just so vibrant.
24. braids vs. bows – I don’t really use either, but my Mom used to braid my hair when I was younger.
25. scented candles vs. the smell of fresh baked goods - I love baking and the smell of something cooking just really adds to that cosy feel.
26. carve pumpkins vs. make pumpkin pie- I carve one every year, and I always try to do something new. It’s really fun, and great for getting you in the Halloween mood.
27. pumpkin spice lattes vs. chai lattes – So I’ve never had either of these, so I don’t know which I’d prefer?
28. coats vs. oversized sweaters – Cuddling up in one of these with the sleeves covering my hands is just so warm.
29. beanies vs. berets- berets you have to position properly to look well, whereas beanies are just pull on and go.
30. candy corn vs. peanut butter cups - I’m all for salty and sweet.
31. s'mores vs. apple crisp – So I looked this up, and found out it was the same as apple crumble. My Gran makes this for us, and I just have that really nostalgic love of warm crumble with melting vanilla ice-cream.
32. jump in a pile of leaves vs. swing on a tire swing – I’ve jumped into a pretty big pile of leaves before, its pretty fun. And my dog loves just rolling around it leaves which is adorable.
33. corn maze vs. haunted house – Again, never really gone in a corn maze as they’re not a big thing in Ireland. Haunted houses can be a bit of fun.
34. bob for apples vs. visit a pumpkin patch – I’m not big on sticking my head in a barrel of water and trying to grab an apple with by teeth.
35. whipped cream on hot chocolate vs. marshmallows on hot chocolate – I do love marshmallows, but there’s this café chain in Ireland called Butlers that makes there hot chocolate with real chocolate, and a cup of that topped with fresh whipped cream and little chocolate flakes is the best.
And I am tagging @wingedcorgi @comickergirl @loquaciousliterature @sciencebiaatch @fyeahskulduggerypleasant @mamalaz @loveskulduggerypleasant @lbirknerwriter @bitchywombatstuff @ninenine-brooklyn

I awoke cranky. I mean, you could say I awoke cranky, but I really didn’t sleep. So it was more like I rolled out of bed cranky. Cranky, tired, sexually frustrated in the extreme. And, to my horror, with a zit that I discovered while brushing my teeth. Seriously, I was 33 goddamn years old, and I had developed an overnight zit that rivaled Vesuvius in size and potential to blow.
I stormed back to my room wanting to break something. I briefly contemplated putting a blob of toothpaste on it, but I was on my way to breakfast and then to the track to run. I really didn’t want it to be more obvious than it already was. And really, the size of the thing would probably put Rick right off me, which would save me some awkwardness. I laced up my runners and headed to the cafeteria. I found Kate already powering through her breakfast, and sat down beside her. The sky was grey and ominous, matching my mood and making me dread all the outdoor activities of the morning.
“Sorry I was so abrupt last night, Kate,” I offered. I realized after I’d dashed away that it had been really kind of her to wait and make sure I was okay, and she deserved something more than me pushing past her. I held off on apologizing for my mood, hoping something would lighten it.
“Uh, thanks. I understand though,” she smiled broadly. “So that Eriksson guy? Are you playing him off Coulson?”
“Dear god, no! There’s no contest,” I exclaimed. She tilted her head and pursed her mouth.
“So you’re playing Coulson off him then?” She asked.
“No, Kate, there’s no contest because Coulson is amazing,” I clarified. “I may have a very brief history with Rick. And he may have attempted to pursue that when we got here.”
“Oh my god, are you telling me you hooked up with him and Coulson?” She gasped. I thought she was going to choke on her fruit salad, and tensed, ready to get up and start the Heimlich if necessary.
“Keep your voice down!” I hissed. “No, I have not hooked up with Coulson.”
“But you have hooked up with Eriksson?” She resolved. I bit my lip, knowing my habit for blushing was betraying me.
“Yes.”
“But you’re not still hooking up with him?” She pressed. I furrowed my brow and stared at her.
“No. Why?”
“He’s fucking hot, Anna. I didn’t want to step on your toes, but I’d like to make friends with him, if you know what I mean,” she laughed. I let out a breath I didn’t even realize I was holding, and laughed with her.
“Uh, without being vulgar, he’s very good at making friends.” I nudged her, “Go for it.”
“I just, haven’t been sleeping well, all the endorphins after running or something, and I am just all hot and bothered, you know?” She explained. I held my hands up in surrender.
“Preaching to the choir. I barely slept at all last night.”
“Well, your adrenaline must have been through the roof after we got caught. You didn’t get in too much trouble, did you?
“No. Jackson sometimes forgets he’s not the smartest guy in the world. That sounds really bitchy. I mentioned I was really tired?” I laughed. “Jack’s a great guy, but he forgets to think through all the eventualities. When we dated, he was told that was –“
“Jesus, have you dated everyone?” Kate interrupted.
“Not everyone.”
“Really?”
“Sure. I haven’t dated Tony Stark,” I winked.
“Does he even date? I thought he was a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy,” Kate laughed again. I felt my mood improving with the light conversation and my beautiful, strong, dark cup of coffee.
“I honestly don’t know. There. Proof I haven’t slept my way to the top,” I chuckled.
“Good to know. For a minute there I was doubting it was your enormous brain that got you where you are,” she responded, dripping sarcasm. Kate was good fun. I was going to have to keep in touch when this was finished.
We finished up breakfast and headed toward the track. As we sat on the benches, the sky opened, and we dashed back toward the cafeteria, and took shelter at the doors, watching for Rick to arrive. Through the sheets of driving rain, I saw someone emerge from the building Kate and I had been kicked out of the night before, and run toward the cafeteria. I wasn’t able to identify Rick until he pushed through the cafeteria doors beside us, the rain was that heavy. He looked at Kate and I, wet from our escape, and looked across the cafeteria. The rest of our class was milling around near us.
“Listen up! We’re going over to the other classrooms building. There’s a fitness centre there with a running track. We’ll figure things out when we get there,” he raised his voice so everyone could hear him. “We’ll take the tunnels. Follow me.”
Rick led us out of the cafeteria and down the hall to the main floor classrooms. He headed down the stairs into the basement, keyed in his passcode and held the basement door open as we filed in. When everyone was through, he led us down a wide corridor. We eventually made it to another staircase and he led us back up, and into the other classroom building. Handy.
Once we were all in the fitness centre, Rick took out his tablet and glared at it. He flicked a few things around before looking up.
“Okay, we’ll do this really easily. Guys, hit the track and start running. 10 laps. Women, follow me to the equipment.” He turned and led us over to an array of gym equipment and machines. There were a number of trainers waiting to assist, and soon, we were learning all sorts of new and crazy ways to make our bodies sore.
“Any chance we can test out of this, Eriksson?” One of the older women asked. He laughed in response and shook his head.
After an hour of torture, we were sent to the track to run, and the last couple of stragglers on the track were shooed over to the trainers. Kate and I took up the rear of the group, but soon were in the middle of the pack and holding steady, despite numerous walking breaks. I could feel the fatigue in my bones. My muscles ached. I desperately wanted the hot tub again, and we were only halfway through the run. By the time Kate and I had finished the distance, we were sweaty, panting and ready to collapse. With no grass to be found to flop into. Rick had made his way to the track at some point while we were running and approached us holding out water.
“You’re faster than yesterday.” He checked his tablet.
“I think we deserve access to the hot tub,” I bargained. He shook his head.
“I think you’ll survive without. You just need to stretch out properly, drink lots of water.” He shut me down. I feigned a sulk.
“So sore,” I pouted, and gave him my best puppy dog eyes. He laughed.
“No.” He was firm. “What are your plans for your free time this afternoon?”
“I do not have free time. I have range with Coulson,” I admitted. He flinched and then nodded. “If you are free, you should go help with hand-to-hand. Kate says she’s hopeless.”
I felt a little like I was offering Kate up as second prize, which made me a little sick inside, particularly when she shot me a warning look. But Rick turned and looked at her. Like, really looked at her. One of those long assessing gazes that gauged interest and sparked a little bit of lust. Kate’s scowl melted and I got the conspiratorial side-eye instead. Obviously she didn’t feel like second prize, which was all that mattered.
“I could help you with that,” he smiled at her. “Since Anna has range.”
I stepped away as they began to chat, and found my sweatshirt. I needed a shower. The rain was still pelting down outside, but Rick hadn’t pointed out the path back to the dorms while we were in the labyrinthine underground tunnels, so I opted to dash across the grass. Had I taken a bar of soap with me, I would have been done by the time I got to the dorm doors, it was raining so hard.
The heat of the shower soothed my muscles and I stood leaning my head against the wall, letting the water beat down on my back for ages. When I heard more people entering the shared bathroom, I turned the taps off, toweling off and heading to my room to get ready. It felt ridiculous, but I took pains with my hair and make-up, almost like I was getting ready for a date, and not for target practice. I wanted to laugh at my silliness, but then I remembered Coulson’s kiss, and redoubled my efforts to look fantastic. Two could play the torture game. Rather than pulling my hair back into its usual ponytail, I pinned it into a loose bun and gave my reflection a conspiratorial smile before leaving my room.
The range was deserted. Even the weapons depot clerk was absent. I sat down on the ground, leaning against the weapons shack. The rain had finally abated while I was eating lunch, but the sky was still clouded over and everything was wet. There was a wide cement awning off the weapons depot where the ground was dry, and that’s where I was sitting. Coulson stepped around the corner, but didn’t see me. I took a moment to admire the view. I knew he was older than I was, maybe ten years, maybe a little more. He wasn’t particularly tall, which was something I usually held against men. I was roughly the same height as he was. I hadn’t seen the advantage of that until he’d kissed me and not left me with a crick in my neck. He dressed well, his suits seemed to fit better than other field agents, and I suspected he was careful about quality and tailoring. But a suit hides a lot, and I hadn’t realized how strong and muscular he was until his arms were around me. He was a careful enigma. Coupled with the resurrection aspect of his recent history, he seemed almost like an illusion. It made me a little nervous, but he certainly felt real enough.
He turns toward the weapons depot and smiled as he walked toward me.
“You are here. I wasn’t sure with the rain.” He held his hand out and pulled me to my feet.
“Well, I wouldn’t just stand you up. And it’s not raining anymore,” I replied. He led us to a stall that was ready for us, with the exception of a sidearm. He pulled his own weapon out of the shoulder holster and handed it to me. I looked at the gun and back up at him. It felt very personal.
“What’s wrong?” He asked.
“This is your sidearm, Phil,” I answered, still holding it delicately. He suddenly laughed.
“After last night, you’re worried about handling my sidearm?” He shook his head. “It’s not as intimate as you’re making it out to be, but I appreciate the analogy.”
I could feel myself blushing. I turned to face the target rather than allow myself to be more embarrassed. The green range light was on, and the place was abandoned, so as soon as Coulson gave me the go ahead, I started shooting. He was standing fairly close, and I found it quite unsettling, as every time I heard him breathe, I would flashback to the night before and that fluttering feeling of lust would uncoil in my chest. I steadied my own breathing and finished the clip. Coulson holstered the weapon and hit the safety override to allow us down to the target.
“This is the one where you lost your concentration.” He pointed to a shot that had gone off the silhouette. “What distracted you?”
I shot him a dark look, my eyebrow raised in disbelief.
“You were breathing loud,” I complained. He tipped his head back and laughed. I replaced the target and stalked back to the stall, not waiting for him. We repeated this for two more targets, him just watching, occasionally distracting me by breathing, or looking particularly nice the way the few rays of sun were hitting him, or something else equally ridiculous. After I’d blasted through three targets, I was about ready to scream with frustration, and he was shaking his head in what I could only assume was despair.
“Okay, take your stance,” he demanded. I faced the target, stood with my feet shoulder width apart, squared myself up. He stood behind me and looked over my shoulder. I closed my eyes and fought the urge to lean against him. He stepped in a little closer, and reached around to help me, just as he had the first time we’d been on the range. I sighed and tried to concentrate.
“I think you’re still allowing the weapon to move too much when you shoot. I’ll help you hold steady. I want you to pay attention to how your body feels when you are shooting, what muscles are working. Particularly in your arms,” he spoke from beside my ear, pretending to be completely oblivious to the effect he was having on me. I took a deep breath and pushed away every thought in my mind, and just focused on the target. I sighted, squeezed, and held my arms in place, concentrating on what every muscle was telling me. We repeated this for an entire clip, and then retrieved the target. It wasn’t awesome, but it was a marked improvement.
“That’s better,” I said. He nodded.
“Despite what you may think, Fury doesn’t want you to be an expert marksman. This is actually good for competencies. You just need to be able to do it on your own. How about one more clip and then we’ll break and get coffee?” Coulson offered.
“You drive a hard bargain, Agent Coulson, but I can agree to it,” I smiled. He rolled his eyes. I shifted my gaze to the camera that I knew was filming us before heading back to the stall. He stepped back to the edge of the stall while I shot the last clip. It was a little worse than when he was holding me in place, but still better than it had been. I folded the target and put it in my pocket. I was keeping it for now as a souvenir of having shot well.
“You’re a little strange, Anna,” Coulson smiled as I tucked the target away.
“You didn’t seem to mind last night,” I countered.
“Coffee, yes?” He changed the subject completely.
The clouds had cleared off, and the sun was quite warm. It was actually nice enough to sit outside to drink our coffee. Coulson slouched in his chair, completely relaxed. It was a side of him I hadn’t seen before, and I quite liked it. I took a few minutes and enjoyed the silence, watching him. He was staring across the track field, as far as I could tell, at nothing. He looked over and smiled.
“You’re staring,” he observed. I smiled back.
“I am,” I confirmed.
“At what?”
“At you.”
“I’m just another agent, Anna,” he dismissed.
“No, you’re not. And you know it.” I stood up and tossed my coffee cup in the garbage. I leaned down and kissed his forehead. “For whatever reason, I didn’t sleep very well last night. I’m going to take a nap before dinner. Unless you had more planned?”
He got to his feet as well, and gave me a slow smile.
“I’ll walk you back to your room,” he offered. One of the things I was discovering I liked the most about Coulson was that we could be together in silence and it didn’t feel weird. I knew his mind was constantly at work, as was mine, and I didn’t begrudge the silence. It was companionable. We stopped in front of my door, and I swiped the key and opened the door. I turned back to him, wanting to invite him to stay.
“I don’t have a bottle of scotch, but if you wanted to stick around –“ I started. He didn’t let me finish, but stepped past me, and shut the door behind us. And then he was kissing me again. It wasn’t the same burning urgency as before, but a soft, gentle seduction instead. He led me over to my bed and pushed me to sitting. He carefully took off his coat and tie and laid them across the dresser, popping the top buttons on his collar as he turned back to me. He pressed another kiss against my lips, and rolled up his sleeves. He pulled me back to my feet and met my mouth with his again, his tongue gliding along my lower lip.
“All day, Anna. I have been waiting all day.” His voice was like gravel as he pressed me back to the small bed. We collapsed on it, a tangle of limbs. He ran a hand down my hip, along my thigh. I could feel his hip against mine, his legs entwined with mine. He was propped on his elbows, the only thing keeping our chests from being mashed together.
“Phil –“ I gasped. He pulled away.
“I’m sorry. You said you wanted to wait.” He sat up, all contact between our bodies suddenly severed. I ran my hand down his back, and felt a large ridge that must be the scar from his wound. He stiffened slightly. I pulled him back to the bed, and curled in beside him.
“I do want to wait. But I don’t want you to go,” I yawned. He smiled and slipped his arm under my head, kissing me with gentle intent.
“Nap time then.” He allowed me to curl into his side and fall asleep.

Welcome to “8 Questions With……”
I found our next guest,Krystle Martin,by sheer accident. I was surfing FB and her page came up as someone FB thought I might like, seeing as Krystle was an actress,I clicked on her page and poked around. Then I clicked on her acting reel and thought it was so darn cute, normally I don’t post acting reels with interviews because they get outdated and sometimes taken down and that leaves a empty hole on the page. But I’m posting Krystle’s reel because it was so darn charming and it sparked my curiousity because not only does Ktystle act,she is also a professional stuntwoman and while I have chatted with stuntmen here,I haven’t had a interview since I talked with Diana Lee Inosanto in 2016. So it made perfect sense to ask Krystle if she would be willing to share her story with us here and being quite modest,I really feel I have the coolest people to chat with and after reading Ktystle’s story, you’ll agree with me…..
Please introduce yourself and tell us about your current project.
Hey hey! My name is Krystle Martin, I’m a stunt performer and actor. I’ve most recently been working as Ronda Rousey’s stunt double on Fox’s 911, played a dramatic role in a Vang Brother’s feature called The Uncanny, and performed mocap for Amazon Games’ upcoming The Crucible.
What was your childhood like? Were you a tomboy at a early age?
I was always equal parts tomboy and girlie girl, I never wanted to take off my blue Cinderella dress but it ended up torn from climbing trees. Flash forward to now… on a day off from shooting 911 in Mexico, I wore a new sundress to meet the guys at the beach, then ended up tying the hem up around my thighs so I could join their impromptu game of football.
I grew up in a broken home with lots of love but not a lot of money or structure. I was the oldest with a brother and sister to look after and always took being a role model for them (probably a little too) seriously. I wanted to show them anything was possible, that we could stop the cycles we’d been born into. We can steer away from addiction, we can go to school and get good grades, work and earn our own money, go to college, travel, and follow our dreams. I’m still trying to set a good example for them, and myself. I’m always striving to learn every day and be the best person I can be.
Which did you do first as a professional, act or do stunts?
Acting was my first love, then I sort of… fell into stunts– see what I did there? I studied acting at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television and performed in shorts and indie films, but was struggling hard after graduation just to keep my rent paid without the benefit of financial aid. I happened upon Santa Monica Muscle Beach one day while running with a friend and was so thrilled with the playground for adults and all the fun, kind people there, it became a frequent hangout. Many of the patrons of “the beach” turned out to be stunt people and shortly thereafter, I was invited to attend some private stunt workouts. I’d been training for fun like that for a few years while juggling too many day jobs to count, classes, student film auditions, and trying to get an agent. Eventually, I heard about an audition for a touring stunt show called Marvel Universe Live. I almost didn’t go to it because after some small successes, I didn’t want to risk losing any momentum I had going in LA. But after several callbacks I was invested. The project sounded like an adventure, an opportunity to learn and travel, and prove to myself that I could do it.
What was your first stunt and how did you prepare for it?
Marvel Universe Live was my first stunt gig, and not just one stunt but a two hour show of them, up to three times a day, performed live to a sound track, with no “cut” like in film– you had to roll with the punches. My first year, I was cast as the Captain Marvel understudy (before that super hero was a household name) and played the minion baddies –Chitauri and Extremis. I took 18 falls to the ground every show, along with a 16 foot highfall, a lot of running, climbing, and fighting. We were in rehearsals for three months before the show opened, which included daily conditioning training. Before the rehearsals had begun, or I’d officially been assigned a role, casting had asked if I’d be willing to “tone up a bit”. In six weeks, I dropped 10lbs, 2 pant sizes, 5% body fat, and got in the best shape of my life. I was determined, and it paid off!
Is it more difficult when you are both acting and doing stunts,in your mind what comes first?
I could see that becoming an issue if the stunts were tougher than just some light running and fighting, which is the extent of the stunts so far that I have done while I am also acting. Acting always comes first for me, as the story, background, and emotional state of the character will influence the performance of the choreography – it’s something that applies when I am doing just straight stunts as well. In fact, I consider my acting background a huge asset when working as a stunt performer, particularly when doubling an actor, because I can efficiently understand their process and observe and recreate details to help meld the two performances into the single character.
There was a time when my dream was to act and do my own stunts. Now that I have become more immersed in the stunt world, I no longer want that. I realize that’s a naïve and selfish thing to do as an actor. Actors can certainly bring an athleticism to a character, but insisting on doing their own stunts can take away focus from giving their best acting performance, take away a job from a qualified, trained stunt professional, and risk money, jobs, and potentially the entire production should they get injured. Actors and stunt doubles can make a great team to bring a character to life and create the best production possible.
Which do you like to do more as an actress, action, horror, comedy? What draws you to a project?
Because of my dual skill sets, action definitely interests me most, followed by well-written drama. Above all, an engaging story arc attracts me to a project, how does the character evolve over the course of the film? Of course, this is Hollywood, and I’ve got bills to pay so I don’t always have the luxury of choosing my ideal roles. I just try to learn what I can from each project, and every day spent on a set is an excellent learning experience.
Do actors/stunt people get paid separately for each job? Is the pay rate higher the more involved the stunt is?
Yes, Actors and stunt performers usually get paid per job on a daily or weekly SAG-AFTRA contract. Or if doubling on a film, you may be “carried,” meaning they will pay you on days you are not actively working for the luxury of having you available solely for that production.
For stunts, you usually get an additional bump in pay on top of the day rate, depending on the difficulty and risk of the stunt and how many times production needs you to repeat it. How much is at the discretion of the stunt coordinator and added to the Schedule G (daily sign in/out sheet) at the end of the day.
What has been your three best moments in the entertainment business so far?
The first to pop into mind was very recent actually, I was doubling Ronda Rousey on 911 last month and there was a fight scene to shoot. Very talented stunt guys, Matt Mullins and Brandon Melende worked out some great potential choreo to demonstrate, the finale of which had me taking Brandon down with a flying armbar. Afterward, Ronda suggested I give her my contact information to keep on hand because “people always ask me if I have someone, and now I can say I do. And I like your fight stuff.” It was a double whammy compliment! I tried so hard to play it cool but inside I was jumping for joy and sing-yelling, “Ronda Rousey likes my fights!!!!!!! Holy Crap! Did you hear that?! Am I dreaming?! I can now die happy” I think I managed to say something slightly more respectable like, “Well, coming from you that’s quite the compliment. Thank you.”
Of course, originally getting the call to work 911, my first ever SAG Weekly contract— in Mexico!! And then getting told I was going to stunt double for Ronda Rousey— not only exciting because she’s a badass but also because for nine years or so, since she started with the UFC, people had been stopping me in grocery stores to tell me I looked like her! And now I get to double her!!!! —Those were big moments too.
Getting the call from Marvel stands out. It was January 2nd, 2014. Feld Entertainment called to tell me I’d been cast in Marvel Universe Live! After multiple callbacks, weeks of intensive training to tone up, and months of the waiting game, I’d gotten the part! I did it!! I was going to travel! I’d never been east of Oklahoma! I was going to get paid more than I ever had—to perform!!! Again, I tried to “play it cool” on the phone, but I was dancing around my kitchen and upon hanging up, hysterically laugh-cried, grinning wet face pointed to the heavens, overcome with gratitude.
Getting a call to work my first SAG stunt gig on LA’s Finest. I had been a SAG member for almost a year without a job when this call came. It was late the night before the stunt, I had been at the Korean spa with my phone off, and I felt so happy and grateful that I had happened to turn my phone on, got service in the underground facility, and answered the unknown call to receive this excellent news! Another laugh-cry moment. Then for the first time I had my own trailer room and had a great day as a stunt double!
What do you do in order to stay in shape? Do you have set training schedule?
I find my day jobs plus attending stunt workouts keep me in pretty great shape without additional gym time. I usually run 2-4 miles a few times week while listening to a fun app called Zombies Run— great production value and what better motivator to sprint than zombies right behind you?! I work at Universal Studios as an employee of a stunt company called Action Horizons, in The Special Effects Show—a behind-the-scenes show where I rappel in from the ceiling, fight off two bad guys and throw them in a dumpster, then get set on fire—and the Triceratops Encounter—in which I work in tandem with another person, while piloting the 140lbs head, face, and front feet of a 10’ tall dino puppet. I attend weekly stunt workouts with (Mo-Cap/Action Studio) Minds Eye Tribe in tactical, creature movement, and swords, and every week I still go play on the rings and slackline at Santa Monica Muscle Beach.
What has been your worst injury to date and how did it happen?
I have been very lucky to have never broken a bone or torn a ligament or tendon *knocks on wood*. Though, I’ve hyperextended my thumbs so many times I’m skittish about holding hands unless my thumb is on the outside. After years of repeatedly injuring them when fighting over/grabbing weapons, a fight choreographer on Marvel, David Doersch, finally demonstrated to all of us by moving both his thumbs perpendicular to his palms, saying “hospital” and then parallel to his palms, “no hospital” and repeating the process multiple times for emphasis— a helpful tidbit I now often include when coaching actors for fight scenes. I’ve been hit in the face quite a bit, had black eyes on each side and once I got accidentally punched so hard in the mouth that my permanent retainer popped off. Discomfort, soreness, pain, and some injuries are practically in the job description. It’s common courtesy to buy a fellow stunt performer a drink if you accidently make contact for real…. I’ve drank some and I’ve bought some.
The cheetah and I are flying over to watch your latest film but we are a day early and now you are playing tour guide, what are we doing?
I love playing tour guide! Even after 11 years, my heart still skips a beat when I turn a corner and catch a glimpse of the Hollywood sign, so I love taking out-of-town friends to Grauman’s Chinese Theater, The Dolby, and the Walk of Fame. You could come see all the shows at Universal and go on the backlot tour, and take a little hike up to Wisdom Tree. And of course, come play with us at Santa Monica Muscle Beach.
I like to thank Krystle for taking the time to talk with us. She is certainly one true bad ass on more then one level and we have nothing but respect and admiration for where she has come and more importantly, where she is going. Krystle has several SM sites in which you can follow her career both in front of the camera and behind it.

BEETELJUICE REWATCH LIVEBLOG
I love the opening to the movie. Just that dark version of Day-O.
Adam, put the spider down. No. Bad. Spiders are creepy.
It’s so strange looking at Alec Baldwin then and looking at him now on like SNL or Match Game.
Adam and Barbara deserved so much better. They were so in love <33</small>
I wouldn’t mind leaving in a small town like Winter River. Everything is all city city city and if you are a small town like that, builders come in to destroy it all and make it a tourist town and comercial. It suuuuucks.
Oh, doggy. Look what you’ve gone and done ;_;
“The handbook for the recently diseased...” “Deceased.” LMAO.
“If this were heaven there wouldn’t be dust everywhere.”
More under the cut
I just realized they had cows right next door to them. So does that mean that they took care of them??? OMG can Lydia take care of them??? Pff Delia probably made sure no sort of farm (or farm smell) was around them.
I am Charles. Just...yay a nice, wholesome house.
“You’re finally going to be able to cook a descent meal.” LMAO. Yeah, no strange shrimp monster meals.
LYDIA MY QUEEN.
Can I just color my hair black and become her. No, I’ve worked too hard to be this blonde.
Delia’s sculptures look like a first grader made it during art class. They suck. Sorry first graders.
Otho come through a door like a normal person.
When Delia licks Charles’s nose...*cringes*
When Adam points out that they are ghosts and looks so excited...yaaaas you’re ghosts scare everyone to death please and thanks. Have fun :D
“I WILL GO INSANE AND I WILL TAKE YOU WITH ME.” JESUS CHRIST. High maintenance much?
As soon as I saw that attic door slam shut I would call Zak Bagans immediately.
I love the Sandworms. It’s just so creative to me. I mean anything Tim Burton thing I admire so much. He’s an A+ genius.
Lyds wearing a funeral-like veil to dinner. Literally me. I wear my hood of angst ™ to dinner sometimes lmao.
Charles is so carefree. We should all strive to be Charles Deetz.
Another look I would love to imitate from Lydia - her black dress and large black hat, dark circles under her eyes that make her look dead. Ay it’s me! No but honestly I am jealous of the Lydia Deetz look. Why can’t I get away with it???
Poor Charles. Trying to have a cup of tea and the sculpture from hell comes crashing through the kitchen window...and traps Delia again the house. “This is my art and it is dangerous. You think that I want to die like this?” Bah ha ha.
A mom who matches outfits with her daughter should not be giving my queen an odd look about her choice of outfit.
That Betelguese commercial is EVERYTHING.
Seriously though Michael Keaton OWNED this role. It would not be the same without him if they really do go through with making a sequel which I have mixed feelings about. If you’re going to do a sequel don’t half ass it. Make it everything and more that it should be thirty years later or whatever. Which is why I’m glad they didn’t go through with Beetlejuice Goes To Hawaii. The title alone...just rings of corniness.
The red sweater that Charles is wearing when he is bird watching matches the apron-thingy that Delia is wearing when she is making dinner for the dinner guests coming later on in the movie.
I absolutely love the dead receptionist with the fairy wings. I would love to be her for Halloween. I would also love to be Lydia for Halloween but I’d have to find a black wig. Black everything really, but it could be done. Beetlejuice would be a great costume as well tbh.
The janitor who told Barbara and Adam “That’s the lost soul’s room...” actually died before the movie came out. I looked it up cause I thought I recognized him lol. But anyways when it shows the lost souls room it reminds me of Halloweentown...or something from Disney Channel Halloween movies.
I remember seeing a Zagnut bar at Cracker Barrel and showing it to my mom and quoting Beetlejuice then lol. I didn’t buy it though incase you’re wondering.
Charles is so dismissive of his daughter and it makes me so sad. I mean, he assumes that’s her wearing the sheet over her head like a ghost. All he’s worried about is peace and quiet and pointing out that Delia is going to be mad for cutting holes in her designer sheets.
Lydia’s room is everything.
Lydia meeting the Maitland’s is also everything. She was not scared by them at all.
Look, we all know that they should not have said Beetlejuice’s name, but at the same time they were stuck and desperate so I get it, ya know?
Also it looks so satisfying digging up the fake grass and dirt to dig him up lol.
Y’all I want the hat Beetlejuice is wearing that says his name on it. Someone gift it to me. Please.
His makeup is fantastic. I mean please tell me they got some kind of award for that. Now I have to look it up. YUP. Academy award for Best Makeup. They won Best Horror Film and Best Make-up at the 1988 Saturn Awards.
There it is. Lydia’s combed back puffy hair at the dinner scene. I WANTS IT. I have also tried it but my hair is way too long (and blonde). *sad face*
“KIDS. YOU KNOW I LOVE THEM.” Delia, I wish you did show how much you could care and love and listen to Lydia.
DAYLIGHT COME AND ME WAN GO HOME
I love how they go from “Oh this is weird what is happening” to just embracing that they are oddly possessed and dancing lol.
Some kind of shrimp hand monster grabs my face...I’m out of there, on my phone with Zak Bagans, byeee Maitland’s. You won. I’m out. Enjoy your house.
“If you insist of frightening people, do it with your sculptures.” PFF. WORD.
I just love Beetlejuice’s laugh.
“Now let’s turn on the juice and see what shakes loose.”
I remember when I was a kid and I turned on this movie the first scene I saw was the snake scene and it scared the hell out of me. I don’t like snakes to begin with. Absolutely fear and despise. So seeing that as a kid I was terrified and put off. But then I watched the movie later on and was cool XD
But hey...that’s how you scare a family out of their house.
I love how Otho thinks he is an expert in everything. Hair styling, home decor...bringing forth the dead.
That would be crazy. Spirits turning old all of the sudden. Poor Barbara and Adam. See what ya did there, Otho? Ya done fucked up.
When Barbara’s foot starts curling in omg I get chills.
“They’re already dead, they can’t feel a thing.” UM LOOK AT THEM.
Desperation calls for BEETLEJUICE! BEETLEJUICE! BEETLEJUICE!
Lydia’s face when he says he has to get married like ewwww who would wanna marry you. LMAO I love it. Also the fact she’s like fourteen here and he’s like “yeah lemme marry that” pervert town over here. But what does he care? He’s dead.
“It’s showtime!”
A dude pops up in my house with an entrance like Beetlejuice’s...I run. I don’t stay and laugh and cheer. I’d be creeped out. Again...my name is Zak Bagans...Also the fact that nobody warned them that they were about to be shot through the ceiling by BJ...like RUDE.
“What have we got here tonights, kids?” LOVE how he said that.
Otho sneaking out...come on man. And putting him in that God awful suit was everything. There’s your haunting, Otho.
“Mom...Dad...” BEETLENO.
He’s combing his hair back trying to look fancy the way Ledger’s Joker did. Well, he did his with a knife BUT STILL. Still crazy either way.
Their wedding outfits are the best. Like why can’t my sister and I do this for Halloween. She will not cooperate with any of my ideas. She can be BJ in his fancy red tux and I will be my queen Lydia in red. There, done. I WANT IT.
“Nobody says the B word!”
Damn Beetlejuice on the ready every time someone tries to say his name.
When you gotta tap dance around someone’s mouth to get them to be quiet. We’ve all been there, right?
“Beetlejuice!” “Eeeeeee!”
I love the way Barbara turns around and the look she gives when she hears the Sandworm.
How did Adam drive a fake car...what am I saying, look what kind of music this is.
BARBARA FOR THE WIN.
Seriously why can’t my sis, mom, and I do a Beetlejuice theme for Halloween. How can I get them on board?
When you have two sets of parents. One alive, one dead. This is the life.
In the original script for the movie the Deetz family actually moved back to New York but Lydia remained in Connecticut to live with Barbara and Adam, and the house was known as this really creepy haunted house nobody came to cause of how weird it was and active even from the outside.
Lydia not so dead looking anymore but somewhat normal. Well, she can’t wear a veil to school, now can she? CAN SHE?
If I got to float with ghosts and dance to music every time I got good grades on tests in school I wouldn’t have left after freshman to homeschool myself. Just kidding I could stay home and chill with ghosts any time I wanted whilst homeschooling myself.
BJ feeling up that girl’s leg and her hitting him from the other side of him lmao
“YO, THERE GOES ELVIS! YO! KING!”
“I gotta do a shoot for GQ in an hour and a half.”
How would you not notice someone swapping numbers like that? I’d sprinkle shrinking dust on his head, too.
“ROCK YOUR BODY, CHILD!”

Challenge Game with forty some-odd questions wtf guys
Rules: Answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions (uuuh. Sure. Never gonna happen haha)
Thanks for the tag, @wordstothewisereaders ♥
1. Coke or Pepsi: I do not drink either. 2. Disney or Dreamworks: Disney 3. Coffee or Tea: The answer is always tea. Tea solves every problem. :) 4. Books or Movies: That seriously depends on my mood but when there’s a movie made from a book, I’d mostly choose to read the book (even though the book isn’t always better) 5. Windows or Mac: Windows !!! 6. DC or Marvel: Oh gosh, do you have to make me choose? I love both for reasons. XD 7. Xbox or Playstation: Xbox 8. Dragon Age or Mass Effect: Uh. 9. Night Owl or Early Rise: Night owl. Owls are practically my spirit animals. 10. Cards or Chess: Er. I suck at both? Haha
11. Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate
12. Vans or Converse: Converse, because the tenth Doctor wears them! Allons-y! 13. Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash or Adaar: Uuuuuuuh. 14. Fluff or Angst: Angst. Definitely more angst than fluff. Or a mixture between the two - as in, a story that has fluffy and angsty elements. 15. Beach or Forest: Beach 16. Dogs or Cats: Dogs 17. Clear Skies or Rain: Clear blue skies and hot sun ♥ 18. Cooking or Eating Out: Eating out 19. Spicy Food or Mild Food: Mild food 20. Halloween/Samhain or Solstice/Yule/Christmas: Halloween because it gives me a chance to dress up! 21. Would you rather forever be a little too cold or a little too hot: I hate both but being cold is probably more practical because you can always put on more clothes but if you’re hot and already stripped all your clothes off and you’re still hot, well then you’re doomed to melt... 22. If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I wanna be able to fly! ♥ 23. Animation or Live Action: Live action 24. Paragon or Renegade: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh. 25. Baths or Showers: Showers 26. Team Cap or Team Iron Man: Oh please don’t make me pick a side! 27. Fantasy or Sci-Fi? Both. Both is good. 28. Do you have three or four favourite quotes? If so, what are they: Goodness... why does everyone have favourite quotes? Oh well, I’ll try even if it will take me forever to think of some great things that some great people said. 1. “Positively rebellious, rebelliously positive” (I think Billie Piper said that), 2. “I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes, the dreamer of improbable dreams.” (The Eleventh Doctor), 3. “Allons-y!” (The Tenth Doctor), 4. “I leave, and the leaving is so exhilarating I know I can never go back. But then what? Do I just keep leaving places, and leaving them, and leaving them, tramping a perpetual journey?” (John Green, Paper Towns) 29. YouTube or Netflix: Both. Oh yes. 30. Harry Potter or Percy Jackson: Harry Potter 31. When You Feel Accomplished: When I did all the things on my daily To-do-list. 32. Star Wars or Star Trek: I don’t really know either. 33. Paperback Books or Hardback Books: Paperbacks. They are kind of more comfortable to read 34. Handwriting or Typing: Handwriting! 35. Velvet or Satin: I never made up my mind about that haha 36. Video Games or Movies: Movies 37. Would you rather be the dragon or own the dragon? Own a dragon! A dragon like Toothless ♥ 38. Sunrise or sunset: Sunsets. I am too much of a sleepyhead to ever see a sunrise haha 39. What’s your favourite song? Right now I think it’s the Main Title from Beauty and the Beast. It’s simply the most beautiful music to ever open a Disney movie. It reflects the mood of the story, it prepares you exactly for what is about to come. It is melancholic and dark but at the same time, it is enchanting (entrancing even) and so beautiful! ♥ 40. Horror Movies yes or no: Not so much, no. 41. Long hair or short hair: Short 42. Opera or Theatre: Opera, but I actually enjoy both very much. :) 43. Assuming the multiverse theory is true and every story ever told has really happened somewhere, which one of the movie/book/tv show/game/etc worlds would you pick to travel to first? Right now, Doctor Who! ♥
44: If you had to eat only one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? Oh damn, I don’t know... Uh. Is this a “What’s your favourite food?” question in disguise? Because even like that, I can’t answer it, sorry. XD 45: Older guys or young guys? No guys at all, because I’m gay haha - but generally I prefer girls, who are about my age ;) 46: If you could erase any show from TV history, what would it be? Fucking Apple Tree Yard!!! 47: Singing or dancing? Singing
48: Instagram or Twitter? Neither.
49: What quote or saying do people spout but is complete BS? Weeeelll... uh, can’t think of anything right now...
50: If there was a time period that you would gladly time travel to to live or visit, what would it be? Victorian England, I love the dresses! Or what about the 1920ies? But I’d like to be able to come back again and not be stuck there or something because I definitely wouldn’t want to live there. Life was tough for women back then.
51: If you could take one fictional character into this world to live with you and what not, under the contingency that the movie/book/tv/game universe they came from acts as if they never existed, who would it be and why? I’d want to live with the Doctor because he needs someone to hug him every now and then, because he shouldn’t travel alone and because he’d take me places (and times haha). Also, he’d be fun company :)
MY QUESTION: 52: What’s the story behind your tumblr account?
I’ll just tag a few people: @chocolate-and-fandoms, @jem-scribbles, @joi-in-the-tardis, @julibellule, @skyler10fic, @gingergallifreyan :)

Answer all of them. That's right you bastard, every damn one. We're gonna overload this site with the cuteness that is your relationship. Happy goddamn Easter.
You sent me this just to torture me damn you Nicole 1. Have you met your soul mate?Well that term is cheesy as hell but I literally can't imagine anyone more compatible with me than Act and I love him super lots so... Yes? I guess?2. Favorite color when you were younger, and now?I used to really love green partly because Irish but now I'm all about the purple because I am the Byzantine emperor3. Do you wear eye-shadow? What color?Get anything away from my eyes I am terrified of anything makeup related near my eyes even eye shadow4. Are you in love right now?YES5. In your opinion, is love at first sight real?No but the fact that I literally saw Act's OkCupid profile and immediately thought wow what a cool dude sure says a lot about my judgment lol6. Are you an optimist, realist, opportunist, or pessimist?I guess I consider myself a realist? Like things aren't either wholly bad or good and I do believe you can advance if you take opportunity but ultimately you are limited based off of your circumstances like wealth race status and mental health, stuff like that. 7. First kiss details? (If you haven’t been kissed, reply how and if you would like to be.)lol I'm going to do both first kisses because I really wish my first was actually Act. So it's high school and no other gay kids existed ooexcept my friends friend. We start dating because duh gay. We go to a school concert and I'm like trying to be cutesy and romantic so I tell him, because I'm dying of heat in the winter because Florida, "if I had do be overheating at least it's with you~*~" and then cue kiss. He was an ugly dude but damn did he know how to kiss.My first kiss with Act was actually damned passionate. We meet up after talking for months for the first time. I drove six hours from Tampa to Savannah and we meet and hang out all day right. It's all very simple and very chaste. We go hang out at my hotel afterwards though where we pretend we don't know what we wanna do. So we start cuddling... My god I've never felt such electricity from someone touching me. He says he's wanted to do that all day as we just hold hands. I then ask if we can kiss. We lean in gently and it's awkward but feels so good...We didn't do anything else except make out but it was great.8. Do you own stickers, an stationary? No but Act taught me calligraphy and I really should learn it again and get some nice stationary for fun.9. What’s your aesthetic?Uh... Colorful pants? That's all I guess lol 🤣10. Do you wear dresses, and skirts?Nah11. What is your hair like?Resistant to change. I have blond and wavy hair but no matter what I do it always wants to lie flat on my head so I've given up doing fancy stuff with it and just do some decent styling.12. Does time go by fast or slow to you?Too damn FAST when Act is here and too damn SLOW when I'm bored to death.13. What time do you go to bed? What time do you wake up?This question assumes I have a regular sleep schedule.I guess normally I fall asleep around 2 and wake up at 10 though.14. Favorite sweet food?Hmm... Lately I've kinda become an endless cheesecake eater. That and cookies or ice cream.15. Tea, coffee, or hot cocoa?I would die without coffee but tea is also good. 16. Space, Ocean, City, or Forest?I'm a forest gay.17. Favorite game as a child?Video game: the Legend of Zelda: Wind WakerBoard game: this weird version of chess called stratego? I would always play it with my mom lolOutdoors: uhhh baseball? If by baseball you mean hitting a ball and not having to run lol18. Comfort book? It's hardly a comfort book because it's the embodiment of Angst™ but the only book I can just open and read a bit of is Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. The narrative voice and theme of adolescent identity crisis really kinda got to me when I first read it. I still identify heavily with the characters and love the surreal, almost cerebral tone.19. Princess, Fairy, Mermaid, or Unicorn?I'm a forest fairy boy thanks 20. Do you fall in love easily?Lol very much so. I met Act in person once, and we were just chatting one night on the phone and he was translating "Now I See the Light" from Tangled from Swedish into English and it just hit me: this super nerd is the cutest and most interesting guy I've ever met, and has a beautiful voice and personality. 21. Favorite word?Apparently. It's quite versatile and always has a ring of sarcasm to it.22. Describe your life in 3 words.AHHHHHHHHHHH (grad school), Act, Nicole 23. Do you dance? Slow dance?lol nope 24. Do you wear fake nails, or paint your nails?Nah 25. Has anyone ever confessed to you?I'm literally the confidante of both of my best friends (Act included) so yes26. Do you lie?Yeah. White lies though, I can't stand being deceitful unless I'm trying to avoid something unpleasant for me or anyone else. Like I'll say I'm going to bed but really just want alone time or I'll say I need to get home instead of I really don't want to be in social situations right now.27. What makes you smile?Thinking about my boyfriend :)Otherwise it's my super cool friend @stained-glass-rose That jerk 28. Have you ever cried in a book or movie?Duh. I sob at any emotional scenes 29. When and who was your first crush?Hmm that's hard to say really. The first super super deep one was with this guy Chaz in high school, my best friend at the time. He and I had 6/7 of our classes together and spent every day eating lunch with each other. During the summer he would ask me to come over every day and after I came out he got even more physically affectionate with me. During freshman year English class we watched a shitty version of the Odyssey and he just rested his head on my arms and napped there. It was super super gay for me. We still suspect he was probably attracted to guys.30. Marriage or kids?Marriage without a doubt, it's legally convenient and frankly I like the idea of a nice commitment thingy. Kids I'm gonna need a long time to think about because I'm an anxious and depressed mess who can hardly handle himself and is afraid of getting a pet even. I like the idea of giving a sweet kid a good home but I'm worried I'm not up for it. We shall see. 31. Are you superstitious? Not at all. Tbh I find ghosts, magic, superstitions, and all that to be completely silly.32. Who’s your 3 am thought?Take a wild guess lol(Act~)33. Do you like candy? What’s your favorite candy?I have a horrible sweet tooth: I love mostly fruit flavored candies like skittles and twizzlers and life savers especially.34. Favorite holiday?Christmas because winter :p35. Favorite season?WINTER I AM A FURNACE36. Cat or dog person?I love dogs so much they are my life's goal. I've always had one until I moved away.I used to be meh about cats, neither liked nor disliked them, but now I'm appreciating them and their personalities which are so much different from what I'm used to with dogs. They're beautiful and elegant and dumb and adorable creatures all at once. I still don't think I want one though but when a cat lets me pet them I feel Blessed™37. Are you quiet or loud?I'm quiet if I don't know you and I never shut up if I do38. Favorite time period? (80′s, 60′s, etc.The 80s would've been great if Reagan wasn't president and AIDS never existed. The music, aesthetic, movies, and all that are some of my favorite enduring things.39. Favorite fashion fad that went away?Skinny jeans. I'm very disappointed because absurdly tight pants are my go to fashion choice40. The best dream/ worst nightmare you’ve ever had?I have weird nasty horror nightmares but the freakiest one was a weirdass realistic one.TW: Sexual assault, pedophilliaMy worst nightmare involved my old roommate that me and Nicole used to live with. An old friend's friend contacted me and asked to hang out in the dream. I agree and he's on his way over: while he's out in my living room I hear my roommates door close and I find graphic pictures showing the dude into those diaper kink things and somehow this made me certain he was gonna hurt her.I burst out of my room and try to open her door only to find he's locked it and assaulting her at that exact moment. He then mocks me through he door as I desperately try to get in and stop him.God I was so scared for her and Nicole from that point on41. Worst fear as a kid?... To be honest it was (and still is) being raped or kidnapped and molested.44. Do you flirt? With my boyfriend :p45. What’s your style?I have none I'm a giant spastic nerd 46. Do you blush? Not often anymore but I get bashful when flirting with Act or when he gives me an unsolicited compliment. Also Nicole's mom called me and him adorable while we were being cute and me and him both blushed lol47. Do you feel everything, nothing, or you don’t know what to feel?I feel numb a lot of the time but I think I'm able to feel some things again. I still don't feel like I feel as much as I should48. Are you a crier? Do you smile?I'm not as much of a crier as I used to be but I can still break out at the slightest touch if I get in an argument or stressed.49. First love?Act.50. Last love?Still love Act :p

These Things Are Fun Lets Give It a Go
Tagged by @katyaton heyyyyyyy!
RULES: answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions. (…yeah I don’t know that many people...)
tagging: @deaded123 @showmethestarlight and if anyone that follows me wants to please do but you two are the only ones that actually reply to these things and I can’t be arsed to go through all of my followers when no one does them anyway :D
1. coke or pepsi: coke definitely
2. disney or dreamworks: oh god ummm i love disney cos that was my childhood but dreamworks have done some truly amazing films and they gave me how to train your dragon which i love far more than is probably normal...
3. coffee or tea: *whispers* both definitely both...I drink so much coffee and tea and currently green tea I’m probably 70% hot beverage at this point
4. books or movies: ah fuck. um I have to say finding a favourite book feels so much better than a favourite film but like I literally work in the film industry so I honestly love them too but yeah imma have to say books (that was really difficult D:)
5. windows or mac: windows cos it’s what i know
6. dc or marvel: um I’ve seen more marvel so I’ll say marvel but I’m not particular opinionated on the matter
7. xbox or playstation: I am abysmal at playing games so again not really my question. however i have finally worked out how to use my housemates xbox as a dvd player so woo
8. dragon age or mass effect: I don’t play them
9. night owl or early riser: Permanently tired pigeon here but more of a night owl.
10. cards or chess: Oh god um actually can’t choose because i grew up playing card games and i really love them but i have a massive sentimental personal thing about chess so yeah i can’t choose here

12. vans or converse: Converse

For the OC ask meme: 20, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, 33, 43, 50
Oh my goodness! Alright lets do this!! :D
20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?
Zara probably spends a lot of her time humming different songs and tunes and doesnt even realize that shes doing it! She’s very cheerful in general, and music gets stuck in her head a lot of the time.
24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?HMMMMMmmmm.I’d say Talton because he’s my biggest Fantasy Dom, but let’s be real he’d be a horrible person to meet in reality. I think Elle would be more interesting, and also she might not kill me.
25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?) HMMMM I had to go way back, dig very very far back, and I havent drawn this character in YEARS but I present to you.... my literal Self Representation OC.
Eruanna was the first OC I made and she was literally meant to be myself as an elf. She’s quite similar to me in, well, every way, she’s my Mary Sue ^^
27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?I’m afraid not, sorry!
28. Your most dangerous OC?
Easily Lord Talton. He’s a centuries old vampire, and vampires in my setting are not nice people. He’s ruthless, brutal, and also easily able to make himself charming and appealing in order to lure in prey. He’s an enforcing part of the structure that enslaves humanity, and very willing to do whatever necessary to keep full power. Do not engage, he will kill you. (Or, if he likes you, brainwash you)
30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?
Oh, friend, it’s not even remotely secret, Lenore absolutely has an army of plush toys. Being eternal and ageless with only one other human around to talk to gets lonely.
32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?
Oh man, Chris would make the cutest horror game protag. He’s plucky enough to dive into danger, but also niaeve enough to die on more routes than survive. He’s perfect.
33. Your shyest OC?
Chris again! He’s brave when it comes to danger, but super shy in social situations.
43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess
Listen I really do love big curly hair for my female OCs and feminine dresses ahahahaha. I do try to mix up their looks a lot though and try not to make the same looking character too often. Eruanna is my self insert so I try not to make any others basically “me, but with elf ears” anymore lmao.
50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want
So, my OCs tend to fit into two catagories, Doms and subs. The subs are generally at least some aspect of myself and a projection of pieces of my own personality, and the Doms are generally a projection of my fantasies and wish fullfilment. They are also generally terrifying.Elle, while not as dangerous as Talton just based on not being an immortal supernatural entity with supernatural powers, is still hella scary in her own right. She’s charismatic, quick with a blaster, and damned intimidating. And while Lenore as a submissive is generally just an expression of feelings of fear and helplessness, Zara is a projection of the dissatisfaction of working life and the desire for adventure. I end up choosing the themes of the story based on what particular desire/need I want to explore and project from myself. This makes them troubling stories (and troubling characters, at times!) but its, I think, a beautiful way to explore myself, my sexual fantasies, and my needs. Thanks for the questions!!! That was a lot and I had a lot of fun pondering them all!!Ask me questions about my OCs!

Q&A with Alexa Bliss, the WWE’s biggest movie villain fan
Alexa Bliss made her Raw debut this past Monday. (Photo courtesy of WWE)
Alexa Bliss is one of the WWE’s fastest-rising stars. The first ever two-time Smackdown Women’s Champion has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to her combination of in-ring ability and her strikingly effective facial expressions when she isn’t roughing up her competition.
Bliss, one of the biggest names in the WWE’s recent “Superstar Shake-Up,” can now be seen on Raw on the USA Network rather than SmackDown Live, where she started her career on the company’s main roster. Yahoo Sports had a chance to catch up with “Little Miss Bliss” regarding the brand switch, how the WWE’s women’s division is providing new role models for young girls and her love of movies and the bad guys in them.
For the second time in less than a year you’re changing rosters and switching locker rooms. What are the pros and cons of the change for you personally?
Alexa Bliss: Some of the cons would definitely be uprooting everything, changing, getting a new schedule, having to meet new people and build relationships with those people almost every eight months now. But there are plenty of pros. I still do get to meet new people, it’s a new environment, a new opportunity. I’m really excited.
You mentioned getting to meet new people, but you’re not coming over alone. Mickie James is coming to Raw with you and your guys’ story has been intertwined while on SmackDown Live. How does having her move over with you help with the transition?
Alexa Bliss: The locker room with the Raw girls, I spent some time with them in NXT, so it’s not like I don’t really know anybody. In the same breath though, it’s great that Mickie is coming over with me and we have had some time to work together and build a dynamic and bring that to Raw. A lot of the girls I’ve worked with in NXT but it hasn’t been for almost a year so I’m excited to get to work with them again.

You got to work alongside all of the SmackDown women at the WrestleMania 33 match. What was that like for you where you guys get to almost have a swan song of sorts together? Did you guys know this was coming?
Alexa Bliss: We actually didn’t know really what was coming. We didn’t find out anything literally until the day before [the Shake-Up] saying ‘Hey, you’re going to be on Raw,’ so I was like ‘Oh, OK.’
Having the chance to have the matches that I’ve had [as part of the SmackDown Live brand] has been so good. I was also so excited for Naomi at WrestleMania first and foremost because having that moment at WrestleMania, coming in with the title, that was the highlight of my career, so getting to share that moment with Naomi and her regaining the title in her hometown, that was amazing. Working with her again on SmackDown [the following] Tuesday was awesome, it was such a good dynamic.
youtube
I love when title changes happen because you get to evolve the storyline and evolve each others’ characters. Each person winds up changing and growing. I was super excited to have more matches together and then I found out that I was going to be at Raw and found out I was going to be making an entrance and that’s kind of when it solidified that ‘OK, I’m here and I’m going to do this now.’ Now I’m just looking ahead to the opportunity and seeing who I am going to get into a story with and how this is going to go.
Who are you most excited to work with on the Raw roster?
Alexa Bliss: Opponent-wise, I’m really excited to work with Bayley. I had a lot of my best matches with her at NXT, she helped me develop a lot as a character and in-ring performer. I’m really excited to work with her again and see how much we’ve both changed in a year. Also Nia Jax, because we’re really, really close friends and I’m excited to be with her again. It’s going to be awesome.
You mention Nia Jax. You haven’t been very shy about your previous struggles with eating disorder and body image. Having someone like yourself who has been through this and beaten it, someone like Nia Jax who has a different body type, even Charlotte, who is a very muscular woman; what it is like to have people like you guys to provide role models to aspiring WWE superstars, young girls, anyone who maybe going through some of those same issues?
Alexa Bliss: I think it’s great. Anybody who is very upfront with what they’ve gone through or how they feel, I think that’s honorable, especially Nia and Charlotte.
I think it’s great. When I was going through my issues, I didn’t really have anyone to look up to and say ‘Well, they went through it and they’re OK,’ because it’s such a hush-hush thing that people don’t talk about. People don’t talk about body image and how we’re supposed to be portrayed or supposed to look. It’s out there in the media but nobody addresses it and says ‘Hey, you don’t have to look like this to be happy. You can be happy with how you are.’
I was that person, I fell into that trap of thinking ‘I have to look this way to be accepted by society or be happy or catch someone’s attention.’ You don’t, and I think it’s great when we can show that every style of person, every body shape, every look anyone has is beautiful in its own way. Everyone has their own perception of beauty and the fact that we can all portray that with how many different women we have in our division and speaking out about it, I think it’s great. I think it’s great that we have someone who everybody can relate to.
It’s been about two years now since the WWE started to push the “Women’s Revolution.” How do you feel about the way the fans have celebrated the arrival of stars like yourself, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Bayley? Also, how do you feel about the way the veteran stars – Nikki Bella, Mickie James, Natalya – have impacted you coming up and when you were making your way through NXT?
Alexa Bliss: I think it’s great right now for our women in WWE. We are getting so many opportunities to show what we can do.
Everyone says it started with the Four Horsewomen (Banks, Charlotte, Bayley, Becky Lynch), but the women before them, they were doing those things too. The Four Horsewomen kind of gave the audience a voice to say it. They allowed the audience to say ‘Give divas a chance.’
I remember seeing an interview with Nikki Bella and her talking about the women’s revolution and how she was excited because they could finally show what they could do as women.
The veteran girls that have been here have been saying this all along and the Four Horsewomen gave it a voice and allow the fans to say that’s what they want. The fact that we’ve been able to take that and run with it, that’s awesome. It’s great to be woman right now in WWE because now we can show what we’ve been saying all along and that’s ‘We can do these things just as well, if not better [than the men].’

Your gear during your time on the main roster has been inspired by Harley Quinn, the Riddler, mostly Batman bad guys. Are you a big Batman fan? Comic book fan? How do you incorporate pop culture into your presence in WWE?
Alexa Bliss: I’m such a villain fan. I love comics, I love anything Disney – everyone knows that about me, I’m a big Disney fan – anything that’s fictional, I’m a huge fan of. It all started with Iron Man in NXT. [Buddy] Murphy [Bliss’s real-life fiancée] had the idea of us all three [Bliss, Murphy and Wesley Blake] dressing up as Iron Man and I thought it was such a cool concept, such a cool idea, that I just kept going with it.
I have a few characters left that I haven’t portrayed yet, I have a few more coming that I have the outfits for that I’m just waiting to perfect them. I did go a little non-villain at Elimination Chamber when I wore Superman, which was a lot of fun.
I just like portraying characters but making it my own. The Harley Quinn thing I was really excited about. I was so bummed because when I left NXT, I thought I couldn’t do the cosplay thing anymore.
My last gear in NXT was Freddy Krueger because I’m such a horror movie fan, it’s ridiculous, but I thought when I went to the main roster it would be a whole different ball game. I kind of ran with the Harley Quinn thing, I said I was going to try it anyway and say sorry after [if it didn’t work], but it got a great response and that gave me the freedom to do more.
You’re a big Disney fan, have you seen the new ‘Beauty and the Beast?’
Alexa Bliss: Yes, I loved it. It was great. I saw it the day it came out.
What about comic-book movies? Which are your favorites? What are you looking forward to seeing?
Alexa Bliss: I just saw ‘Logan’ for the first time and I am so obsessed with it. I kept watching it over and over and over.
I liked ‘Deadpool’ and I’m really excited for the second one that’s coming out. Anything that references any kind of X-Men, I love. I really thought it was funny how in ‘Deadpool’ he kept taking shots at X-Men and other stuff, it was really hilarious. Anything that’s in that realm I’m a fan of.
Last question. You’re on Raw now. It’s a totally new experience for you. What are your goals short-term and then for a year from now when we’re coming off WrestleMania 34?
Alexa Bliss: A year from now I hope that I have been able to become Raw Women’s Champion. I would love to be able to hold both titles within a year, I think that would be an awesome opportunity.
I’d really like to see our women in the main event at WrestleMania. I know it’s kind of considered a future thing and no one knows if it’ll ever happen, but in my mind, it’s going to happen and hopefully within a year. Hopefully in a year I’ll be women’s champion and have taken this division by storm.
